As you all may know, we should be well and truly on our trip up the east coast.
We’ve had a few bumpy (and jagged) roads these past months and our canopy is finally set to be on it way to us today!
Originally we had our build booked in last November with a guy in Brisbane. However fast forward a few months, and the guy dropped his bundle, and with it, our money.
Devastated.
Not only due to lost finances, but also because the waiting lists for fabrication are roughly 12 weeks!
We searched Australia for someone who would build us our setup and help get us back on our “feet”.

Dan took on our challenge not only with a smile, but with a ton of passion too. Based in Perth WA, he’ll pack and freight the build to bolt onto the rear of our Hilux.
We’re so excited and can’t wait to receive. The workmanship has been 110% and can’t thank him enough. We’re all fingers and toes crossed for a smooth transit so we can start our trip!
We’re both anxious to get up to Cape York and Kakadu as we know we’re running late in the season (and in the year!) – but hopefully with the prior big wet season over summer, the tracks are drying up in our favour.
As the saying goes – Patience is a virtue.
